Created from resin and plaster on a slate base.
The large plaster ammonite is hand-cast and then layers of acrylics, graphite mica and the subtle addition of gold glitter is added. The materials are fused with resin and acrylics using a blow torch to create the complexity of textures and various dimensions of the colours. Each layer requires 24 to 48 hours to cure before the next is applied, taking several days to complete the process.
